Waiting on a court date?
Proverbs 3:5-7 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding, In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
We are trusting in the Lord whatever His path for us might be. We pray that it would be to bring Grace home to us soon.
We do have a new lawyer. I have talked to him through e-mail. He says he has all our paper work and is going to file for a court date for us. So we pray to God that this is the time that He choose to bring Grace home to us.
Once again a thank everyone for all the prayers and support that we have had on this long road to bring Grace home.

Please Pray!!!!!

GRACE WAS ABANDONED AT KAKIRA SUGAR PLANTATIONS IN JINJA DISTRICT. SHE WAS PLACED IN THE CARE OF AMANI ON 3 MARCH 2010.GRACE WAS ESTIMATED TO BE 3 DAYS OLD WHEN SHE BECAME PART OF THE AMANI FAMILY.
This is a new picture of Grace and her story that they put on there web site.
We are asking for prayers that the Lord would bring her home. We just found out we are not waiting on a court date and that our paper work is not altogether. We are getting a new lawyer pray that he could get this all worked out for us and bring Grace home.

Trust in the Lord with All Your Heart

I started this blog so that friends and family can follow us on this journey to bring our precious Grace home. I must admit that it has been trying at times and has caused me to worry and doubt. I wanted to share some lessons that I have learned on this journey in hopes that it may provide hope to your soul in troubling times and to bring Him greater glory.
As many of you know this process started quite a while ago. We have heard of those who went after us to Uganda and are home with their child. We have yet to locate all of the paperwork which seems to have been misplaced, or at least inaccessible to all but our lawyer, and he seems to be tied up with a big human rights case in Rwanda. All this to say is that it feels like no one is fighting for us. We know this is not the case however since God is the one who is in control.
Exodus 14:14 "The LORD will fight for you while you keep silent."
To an unbeliever this may seem strange and incomprehensible, but I assure you it is not. God is still on the throne and we know that He fights for us. In light of that I am reminded of the great promise in Romans 8.
28 And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. 29 For those whom He foreknew, He also predestined to become conformed to the image of His Son
It is God's purpose that I be conformed into the image of His Son. It is not mine to grumble like the Israelite did in the desert or to question God's plans. His purpose is to make me like His son. Therefore I have had to learn patience and a deeper trust of God. From human perspectives it seems like God is indifferent, unfair, unjust, unloving, uncaring, un.... you get the point. I can assure you that is not the case.
God does have a plan. He has blessed us with a wonderful, loving church who have made extraordinary sacrifices for us so that we can bring Grace home. I cannot thank them enough for the prayers and financial support they have given us. We believe that God will get the maximum amount of glory in this and it is simply our job to be obedient and wait patiently on Him. He is moving in this, we just cannot see from our vantage point.
I would like to encourage those who do not know the Lord to seek Him while He may be found. Regardless of what Joel Osteen says, this is not our best life now. The apostle Paul in the books of Acts had this to say to those in Athens. I pray you take the time to read it.
Acts 17:22-31 22 So Paul stood in the midst of the Areopagus and said, “Men of Athens, I observe that you are very religious in all respects. 23 For while I was passing through and examining the objects of your worship, I also found an altar with this inscription, ‘TO AN UNKNOWN GOD.’ Therefore what you worship in ignorance, this I proclaim to you. 24 The God who made the world and all things in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands; 25 nor is He served by human hands, as though He needed anything, since He Himself gives to all people life and breath and all things; 26 and He made from one man every nation of mankind to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation, 27 that they would seek God, if perhaps they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; 28 for in Him we live and move and exist, as even some of your own poets have said, ‘For we also are His children.’ 29 Being then the children of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and thought of man. 30 Therefore having overlooked the times of ignorance, God is now declaring to men that all people everywhere should repent, 31 because He has fixed a day in which He will judge the world in righteousness through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all men by raising Him from the dead.”
God has commanded men everywhere to repent. That means to turn from our sin to the true and living God. Should you think that you are safe consider these words from Holy Scripture.
Romans 3:10-23 “THERE IS NONE RIGHTEOUS, NOT EVEN ONE;
11 THERE IS NONE WHO UNDERSTANDS,
THERE IS NONE WHO SEEKS FOR GOD;
12 ALL HAVE TURNED ASIDE, TOGETHER THEY HAVE BECOME USELESS;
THERE IS NONE WHO DOES GOOD,
THERE IS NOT EVEN ONE.”
13 “THEIR THROAT IS AN OPEN GRAVE,
WITH THEIR TONGUES THEY KEEP DECEIVING,”
“THE POISON OF ASPS IS UNDER THEIR LIPS”;
14 “WHOSE MOUTH IS FULL OF CURSING AND BITTERNESS”;
15 “THEIR FEET ARE SWIFT TO SHED BLOOD,
16 DESTRUCTION AND MISERY ARE IN THEIR PATHS,
17 AND THE PATH OF PEACE THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN.”
18 “THERE IS NO FEAR OF GOD BEFORE THEIR EYES.”
19 Now we know that whatever the Law says, it speaks to those who are under the Law, so that every mouth may be closed and all the world may become accountable to God; 20 because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the knowledge of sin.
21 But now apart from the Law the righteousness of God has been manifested, being witnessed by the Law and the Prophets, 22 even the righteousness of God through faith in Jesus Christ for all those who believe; for there is no distinction; 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 being justified as a gift by His grace through the redemption which is in Christ Jesus; 25 whom God displayed publicly as a propitiation in His blood through faith.
I pray that you join with me in worshiping the Great God who works all things according to the counsel of His will. May He receive the glory.
James 1:12 Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.
